NOMINATIONS FOR ESCUELA
AMERICANA ALUMNI HALL OF FAME
The
Escuela Americana Alumni Office is opening the process for
nominations to the Escuela Americana Alumni Hall of Fame. All EA
community members may participate by nominating candidates that
they deem worthy to receive this honor.
You
may nominate a candidate by completing the nomination form and
following the guidelines for the Alumni Hall of Fame.
The
Guidelines for the nomination process are as follows:
The guiding philosophy of the
Alumni Hall of fame is to provide our community with “living
models of the virtues and values of the learning community”
at Escuela Americana”.
The philosophy of the Escuela
Americana Hall of Fame is to recognize Alumni who have made
outstanding and unique contributions to the community,
society or our school. Alumni Hall of Fame inductees are men
and women of distinction who serves as role models to the EA
Community. EA Alumni Hall of Fame candidates must be
well-rounded individuals and portray outstanding leadership
and foresight and are recognized in local, national and or
international communities.
Categories for induction:
1. Leadership & Citizenship
2. Cultural and Performing
Arts
3. Sportsmanship
4. Research and Academia
NOMINATION CRITERIA
The Selection Committee will
consult the following criteria to select the nominees and
will consider the accomplishments of the nominees in terms
of a lifetime of service:
Reputation
- The degree to which the nominee is known nationally
and/or internationally.
Professional Achievements
- The degree to which the nominee has benefited society.
Service
and Career Contributions
- The degree to which the nominee has made an impact on
the world with contributions beyond his/her professional
achievements.
Uniqueness
- The degree to which the nominee is a distinguishable
and unique role model.
Other
Qualifications:
- All
candidates for induction to the Escuela Americana Alumni
Hall of Fame must be more than 45 years of age.
- Candidates must have
attended Escuela Americana for a minimum of 1 academic year.
SELECTION PROCESS
Selection process will be in
charge of the Escuela Americana’s Board of Director
Education Committee. This Committee will accept nominations
from:

Other Alumni
-
Student Council members
-
Parents and Community Members
-
EXAM (Alumni Association)
-
Friends of EA and other Community members
- Induction to the EA Hall of
Fame takes place on a two-year cycle. Up to two (2) alumni
are inducted for any induction cycle.
- Nominations will be made
through the filling of the “Nomination form “and submission
of a vita of the candidate.
- No incomplete nominations will be taken into
consideration. If a nominee is not chosen for induction that
year, he or she may be nominated again on future selection
processes.
- A nominee must not be holding public office at the time of
the nomination.
- No self-nominations are permitted.
- Candidates are notified of their nominations and, if
selected for induction, he or she is notified to coordinate
calendars for the induction ceremony.
