Standardized Testing

Evaluation of students is considered as a continuous process.  Standardized tests are one such assessment instrument in determining growth in learning.

Currently students in the Lower School are tested in the 3rd and 5th Grades.  All students in the Middle School, as well as the 9th Grade, will take the Stanford Achievement tests.  Students in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades take the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) each October.  11th and 12th grade students take the SAT I and SAT II tests, as well as Advanced Placement tests.  All seniors pursuing the Bachillerato Diploma are required to take the Salvadoran PAES test.

Textbooks
Textbooks are provided for the student’s use each year.  Students are responsible for the safe-keeping of the books issued to them.  Students will be assessed charges for any textbooks that are lost or damaged.
