As the new General Director, I am thrilled to join this extraordinary community of families and learners. Having recently arrived, I have been captivated by this beautiful country and the warmth of its people.

Escuela Americana is a very special place to be! Most of our staff and many of the parents are alumni of the school that promote a community full of respect, pride, and love for everyone in our EA family. The school was founded in rich traditions that are paired with on-going change and innovation. The result is a unique system that allows our students to make their way successfully in our ever-changing 21st-century society.

We consider the whole child in our planning and are purposeful in how we offer our academic and non-academic curricula. Service to our school community is a strong component of the school community and students experience first-hand the value of contributing and being an active member within our school culture. We want our students to be supported emotionally, socially as well as academically to become successful members of the wider community as well. Escuela Americana truly cares about its students–and that is reflected in the enthusiasm in the hallways and even the virtual classrooms.

If you want to be considered for a Board of Directors or committee position, you have to complete this application and send it to the eaboard@amschool.edu.sv email at least 3 months prior to the Fall Semester General Assembly. The Board Chair will direct you to the nominating committee to see if you have fulfilled all requirements for consideration. You must have participated in a board-appointed committee for one year before being eligible for a Board of Directors position and have continued "good status" in the community in terms of financial obligations and deportment.
