Tuition does not cover the full costs of educating your child and maintaining our entire campus, and it never has. Tuition dollars at all private schools only cover about 70% of the cost to educate each child and that is why schools around the world have yearly Annual Funds. EA is not an exception, historically we have received donations to help support our programs and our EAX program has also contributed. 

Schools around the world have a yearly Annual Fund to raise money for things and programs that go beyond what is covered by tuition on their campuses. Some schools draw on large endowments, grants, and government assistance, and others have healthy giving through fundraising to cover some of the difference.

The Excellence Annual Fund for the school year 2022-2023 will improve student engagement and help raise achievement. Students taking the Invention by Design class will use the design thinking process to develop designs and reimagine the Elementary Cafetorium and the Secondary Reading Plaza.

Your donation will have a direct impact on your child as we will continue offering the best educational programs, co-curricular activities, and overall experiences that most other schools strive to do but often struggle to achieve without the support from their community.

A pledge is a “promise” to give a specified amount by June 30th. We understand that you are committed to supporting the Excellence Annual Fund and that you may want to fulfill your gift at a time that is better for you and your family’s philanthropic plans.

Every gift, no matter the size, is important to our success. We ask that every family consider participating with an amount that is most meaningful to them.

It is recommended that you support the campaign during the fall (September - December), but the Excellence Annual Fund runs from July 1st to June 30th. 
For your gift to be tax-deductible in 2022, your gift must be submitted by December 15, 2022.  If you give your gift in the Spring (January - June), your gift will be tax-deductible for the following year in 2023.
