LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

OUR STUDENTS ARE LEADERS IN THE MAKING

We seek to foster and strengthen leadership skills in young leaders.

LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

We offer our Middle School students’ various opportunities to develop their leadership skills. They may participate in Student Government, National Junior Honor Society, or the Leadership Seminar Series (LSS).

The Leadership Seminar seeks to make our students aware of their capacity and potential for leadership by assessing personal leadership styles, including strengths and weaknesses. LSS students participate in the Youth Leadership Development Summit hosted by different AASCA schools. The Leadership Experience trip enables students to become familiar with higher education opportunities and requirements, as well as cultural events. LSS members acquire skills to work collaboratively and build effective teams.

Our “Leaders of the Future” are part of the G Leaders. This group works by promoting leadership skills amongst Secondary students. The G Leaders group is made up of students that lead in their own special way; some are athletes, other artists, scholars, and most have all these qualities put together. The G Leaders’ objective is for our students to be known in the community as leaders with values, a strong stand against bullying, and possessing a buoyant Trojan spirit. G Leaders is divided into four pillars: Character, Service, Leadership, and Anti-Bullying.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY (NHS)

The NHS elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

As such, NHS chapters and students are in schools that care not only about student achievement, but also community engagement.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Seniors have the opportunity to participate in the Internship Program.

The program is an excellent opportunity to intern at a business of their choice for three weeks at the end of the senior year. Students are able to consider potential venues of interest as well as potential employers.
